The role of the Certified Nurse Aide is to provide for the daily care, comfort, safety and health needs of the residents. The CNA is an important member of the health care team and the nursing team.
The CNA's work activities include the following;
Work with other members of the nursing team and read chart notes.
Observe and report the blood pressure, pulse, respiration, and temperature of patients.
Assist patients with walking, bathing, elimination, dressing, and eating.
Observe and report vital signs, food intake, and liquid output of patients.
Move patients by gurney or wheelchair.
Clean rooms and change bed linens.
Certified Nurse Aides typically work in; nursing homes, assisted living facilities, hospitals, Hospice, home health, or private duty. Starting pay rates range from $9 to $14 dollars per hour.
Before registering for our CNA class, make sure you meet the following requirements:
1. You must be at least 16 years of age.
2. You must have a basic understanding of how to converse, read and write in English.
3. You must understand basic math.
4. You must have a valid state issued photo I.D. ( such as a drivers license )
5. You must have a valid Social Security Card or proof of your numbers validity.
6. You must NOT have any felony conviction or pending felony charges within the last 7 years. Misdemeanors will be considered on an individual basis. You must authorize us to perform a criminal background check on you.
7. You must have reliable transportation.
8. You must pass a physical exam.
9. You must NOT currently or within the past year; have or be receiving treatment for a chemical/drug dependency or debilitating mental health condition.
We take great pride in our CNA program. We offer professional training in a professional environment. You will be trained by experienced Nurses, most of whom were CNAs before they became nurses.
You will go to Clinicals as a class, we don't send you to the facility to simply fill an empty slot.
Along with professional instruction, you will also receive;
Certification in the State of Indiana, Transferable to Kentucky (can apply for Kentucky Certification after being placed on Indiana CNA Registry, no added costs or testing is required)

105 Hours Indiana State Department of Health (ISDH) Certified Nurse Aide ( CNA ) Training Program.
Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation Certification (CPR) (Card fee not included).
Tuberculosis Testing.
Training Manual.
Workbook.
State Certification Exam given at Nurse Tech (test fee not included).

A registration fee of $150.00 is required to register for class, with the remaining balance of your tuition due on the first day of class. If you are unable to pay in full on the first day, you may set up a payment plan (see below).

Payment Plan: A payment of $150.00 is required to register for class, with the balance of your tuition due on the first day of class. If you are unable to pay the balance of your tuition on the first day of class, you may set up a payment plan. Tuition reimbursement is available in certain circumstances.
Day Class Tuition payment plan = Registration Fee of $150.00, followed by 3 weekly payments of $118.00, $116.00, and $116.00, one payment due each Friday of the class.
Evening Class Tuition payment plan = Registration Fee of $150.00, followed by 4 weekly payments of $112.50 one payment due each Friday of the class.
